Golf Courses
North Course:
Designed by Robert Dean Putman in 1971, the North Course is a course that caters to players of all levels, boasting of a technically accessible layout. The course features abundant palm trees, lakes, and ravines, making it an aesthetically pleasing option. Compared to the South Course, it is slightly shorter with tighter fairways and larger greens, making it a perfect choice for golfers of all types.
South Course:
Considered one of the top courses in Spain, the South Course was designed by Robert Dean Putman in 1971 and then redesigned in 2005 by the legendary Arnold Palmer. This course has hosted numerous professional tournaments, including various Spanish Opens, PGA Championships for both men and women. Measuring almost 6,500 meters from the white tees, the course features water hazards on 15 of the 18 holes, wide fairways, and a mix of short and long holes. The front nine, which includes two par 3s of over 200 meters, is particularly challenging with tough par 4s that demand accuracy when driving through bunkers and lakes. The back nine, although shorter, provides its own set of unique challenges with intriguing dog-leg holes.
West Course:
Designed by Dave Thomas, the West Course is located in a stunning setting at the foot of the Calblanque Natural Park within a dense pine forest. The course is more demanding than the other two courses and requires the best swing from every player. With frequent elevation changes, the front nine requires precise driving to avoid natural storm gullies called ‘barrancos.’ The back nine, set amidst the hills, offers a more open course layout while still providing challenges that will test even the most skilled players.
